Advanced Auto Care was founded in 1998 by Andy Koontz. Being a lifelong resident of Monroe county, Andy knew the importance of customer service in his community. With that in mind, Advanced Auto Care has always had some of the best business morals in Bloomington.
Starting with humble roots Andy was joined immediately by fellow mechanic and friend Ted Kent. Andy and Ted's commitment to customer service, education, and honesty quickly made Advanced Auto Care outgrow its building. In 2003, Advanced found its new home in our current location. 1077 Air Drive might have lost its road frontage, but allowed for its growth. Word spread quickly about the level of care at Advanced and it steadily grew in size to its current proportions of six employees. Having a great business model allowed Advanced to enjoy its great customers for many years. While Andy loved building Advanced from the ground up, he decided it was time to retire in 2018.
Matt Bozarth, the current owner of Advanced Auto Care, met Andy in 2005. Coming from the parts side of the automotive business, Matt has seen a lot of repair facilities. It was not hard to spot the things that made Advanced so successful: Customer service, transparency, and honesty. Under Matt's leadership, Advanced Auto Care expanded its services and certifications while staying true to its core values of customer service, transparency, and honesty. In 2023, an exciting opportunity arose, leading Matt to acquire Eldon's Automotive & Eurotech Auto Service in Columbus, a cornerstone of automotive excellence since 1991. To Matt, Eldon's Automotive and Eurotech are more than just repair shops; it's a reflection of his commitment to his hometown of Columbus, proving that you can't buy trust.
Despite changing times, Advanced Auto Care maintains an unwavering commitment to the community, actively participating in local fundraisers. Matt envisions the next 20 years continuing the tradition of honesty, transparency, and education, with each employee dedicated to doing what is right for customers and the town. The motto "you can't buy trust" remains at the forefront of their mission, symbolizing a steadfast commitment to integrity in every aspect of their business.
