Minor fixes to major mechanic this shop is the go to people.

Today my check engine light came on and I was very concerned because I've had problems with different vehicles in the past and even blew an engine. I've had bad experiences with other car repair businesses around Bloomington so I asked around for a place that was HONEST and did good work. One of my coworkers suggested that I give Advanced Auto Care a call. So I did and immediately, I noted that the man on the phone was friendly and didn't talk down to me. He said that they are scheduled full for the week but if I brought my car in they could scan the code and at least tell me if I have something to be worried about. I had already called Pep Boys and Meineke earlier today and neither told me that they could do that for me. So, after work I took my car there and was pleasantly surprised that they came out immediately and read my code. It turns out, it was just a minor issue and nothing that will leave me stranded. The tech explained the code to me and the possible reasons. He cleared the code and they said that if it comes on again or starts to act up, to bring it back. Because of the way that I was treated today, I will definitely come back if I need anything else done to my car! I will be telling everyone I know to bring their business here! Thank you for not trying to sell me something I didn't need or act like I am a moron for not knowing what's wrong with my car. You have NO idea how great that feels!!!

I was really delighted with the service I received during this years winter storm. I had my car stall got it started only to get it parked out of the middle of the road. I got it towed to them where they diagnosed beyond my amateur abilities. They made a customer for life because of their quality of work and the bill was a lot easier on my wallet than I could imagine. Thank you Advanced Auto Care team!

I've taken cars to AAC over the years, and for good reason. The last time, I took my '02 Ford Explorer there when I couldn't shift it into gear. Long story short, I got it there and was pretty much in panic mode. Freezing temps, single mom w 3 kids to transport, financial issues, needed my car back ASAP. These gentlemen could not have been more kind and helpful!! Really, my car was fixed quickly and at a VERY reasonable cost. I took my car there because the transmission place I go to said I had some oil leaks and they refered me to Advanced Auto Care which is just next door. The guy I talked to at AAC, Dave, was so helpful explaining everything. They hooked my car up to the computer to diagnose the "check engine" light and looked it over thoroughly. Dave called me every step of the way and in the end advised me that the oil leak was manageable so that no work was needed at this time. I figured they would charge me for all the diagostics they did, but when I picked my car up he only charged me $35 for the oil change! I'm impressed and will definitely be taking my car there in the future. The Subaru dealer in town charged my around $70 just to hook my car up to their computer!
